Hmm, I didn't really watch Singapore film in the cinema till today~ It's probably the first time I have watched a Singapore film in the cinema~
After watching this movie, I found it kindda enjoyable but the long crying scene of May was too long already~ Actually the movie should change to "Those Guys in Pinafores" since there were more scenes of the guys wearing Pinafores than girls, isn't it? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Just my own thoughts on this movie:
In Singapore, you only can treat Music as a hobby but can't treat it as a dream because you wouldn't earn a living with just being a Singapore singer in Singapore. Singapore require you to have enough education and proper job/s(Business Man, Teachers, Doctors, Engineers etc etc etc) in order to earn a living. Initially, Singapore don't have a very successful Music Industry until those Singaporean singers went to Taiwan to continue their music career. But if they stay in Singapore, there is no way that they will be as famous as how famous they are in Taiwan~
As the movie depicted Jiaming not singing with his friends anymore, and he studied hard and became a Literature Teacher/something like that. And all his friends have proper jobs instead too. Plus the Music Lounge closed down in the end too.
Quite a pity that Singapore doesn't focus much on Arts, Designs and Music~
As for that actor who acted as Jiaming, he's actually Daren Tan(陈世维) from "Project Superstar Season2"(绝对 SuperStar) who was the winner but well... We all don't see him releasing album/s anymore or even singing~ Thank goodness that he sings in this movie, I missed his singing vocal~~~
Oh and to my surprise, I saw a friend call Naomi acting in the Movie as Rachel!!!!!!!Wa~
So sad that Jayley and Hayley didn't have much scenes.... I want more scenes of them!!!!!!
